GM Genuine Parts 15951953 Vehicle Yaw Sensor
The trouble all began when the 05 Escalade EXT all of sudden felt like the front passenger tire applied the ABS. It scared the crap out of me the first time it did it. Lasted a mere second or 2 but still made the truck pull hard to the right. As soon as the brake released the error came on the DIC. Service Stabilitrak or something like that. I don’t remember because this fix occurred 3 months ago or so, so that’s how I know this product works. This would happen at least once a day.I took it to my local tire/suspension shop. They first changed the front wheel speed sensors. It fixed the problem for like 3 days. Then the truck started to do the same thing. I took the truck back. They recommended I change the Yaw Sensor. This time the error actually flashed on their diagnostic tool.I found the Yaw Sensor on Amazon for a really good price. I actually swapped this part out myself, and it wasn’t hard. If you have a set of tools, you should be knowledgeable enough to get the job done. It’s easy. Hardest part was lifting the seat and taking it out without hitting/scratching anything, that sucker is heavy. BTW, mine was under the passenger seat, most videos on the internet said it was on the driver side. Before actually connecting the new one, I disconnected the battery in hopes of erasing any stored error codes. Not sure if I had too, but after putting everything back together, connecting the battery and now having used the truck for about 3 months, I can without a doubt say the Yaw Sensor was the issue. The new one is doing the job it’s supposed too. No more ghost braking and getting mini heart attacks.
